Love is in the air at the Samabe Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali
Dinner by definition usually refers to the most significant meal of the day, which can be taken either around mid-day or in the evening. At the Samabe Bali Suites & Villas located in Bali, Indonesia a new standard is set with their private cave dinner evening experience. In this article we’ll highlight our favorite parts about this intimate occasion along with showcasing our delicious dinner menu.
Location:
Samabe Bali Suites & Villas is located in the Nusa Dua Area that sits on eight hectare land with eighty-one suites and villas, with two restaurants and two bars on property. The moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff who escorted us by golf cart to the other side of the property. We were in awe at how stunning this resort is. The scenery was breathtaking!! Less than five minutes later we were standing at the edge of the cliff awaiting a sophisticated lift to bring us down to the beach area. There are spectacular views of the ocean from this look out point and the perfect photo op for any occasion! After riding the five minute lift down to the beach we only had a quick ten second walk to our beach side table in a massive candle-lit cave where we were seated to enjoy our dinner experience!
Culture:
As we entered the cave, we were embraced with the most romantic atmosphere. Balinese tradition is to sprinkle each individual with a few grains of white sticky rice on your forehead to start off your four course dining experience. This was really awesome to experience. The beach cave is designed to hold a total of six tables inside creating a romantic and secluded ambiance for you and your loved one. Shoes are completely optional which was perfect for us. A half hour before sunset is what we recommend planning for a reservation.
Our Favorite Part: The Cuisine
The four course dinner consisted of mouth-watering seafood and prime cut BBQ joined by a traditional Balinese touch. The daily menu always starts with a welcome cocktail which was tasty and refreshing. Although there are incredible choices to choose we opted for the following meal: a rich shellfish Bisque, a classic Caprese salad, a Surf and Turf (Australian Tenderloin accompanied by a Lobster Tail), finished off with a Sweet Love Symphony (sticky Thai rice pudding with Mango). We can not express how amazing our dinner experience was. The hospitality at Samabe, the food, and the scenery really was outstanding!!!
