1. Perfectly In Love: Luxury Accommodations at The Orchard San Francisco

The Orchard Hotel San Francisco, just steps away from Union Square, delights guests with sophisticated accommodations, high-tech amenities, and personalized service. Their hospitality is outstanding and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and luxurious with a boutique feel in which we loved! The hotel is anchored in the celebrated traditions of hospitality of the world renowned Orchard Road in Singapore and was recently named among “The Top 10 Best Eco-Friendly Hotels in the United States” by USA Today! The hotel is one of the first hotels in California to be LEED certified.

Upon check in, we were greeted by the most helpful staff where we were then escorted to our room followed by our luggage. As we entered our suite, we were in awe at how beautifully decorated it was. The atmosphere created modern comforts with classic style and elegant color palettes. The bathroom was also amazing, it was enormous and very modern. Our room came with plush bathrobes and slippers along with deluxe bath amenities, a personal safe, a carafe in the room for complimentary Flowater (this was one of our favorite things about the hotel), and a separate living room from our bedroom. The hotel also had a wonderful restaurant called The Daffodil. It has a timeless ambiance with organic decadence. Daffodil showcases an innovative menu highlighted by exquisite flavors, utilizing the freshest ingredients. We highly recommend coming for breakfast. It was wonderful! We truly enjoyed our stay at The Orchard Hotel. The atmosphere was very romantic and we couldn’t of asked for a better location close to just about everything in the city!

2. Love at First Flight:  Seaplane Adventures:

This has to be one of the most romantic adventures in the city!! Come admire San Francisco from the air on an amazing seaplane adventure as you soar across the bay taking in panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the AT&T Park, and many more breathtaking sights before heading up north to Pt. Reyes National Seashore, as you look for frolicking porpoise and whales along the way. Seaplane Adventures offers different flight tours including a Golden Gate Bridge tour (30 minutes), a Sunset Champagne tour (40 minutes), and the one we chose which was called The Norcal Coastal tour (60 minutes), which we like to say is the BEST tour!! It was spectacular seeing the Northern California coastline from highway one, angel island, and downtown San Francisco from above.

Our experience was unforgettable, we loved every minute of it and truly left our hearts in San Francisco after the flight. The staff and pilots at Seaplane Adventures really go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful time. We highly recommend taking your sweetie on a seaplane adventure when visiting San Francisco!!

What is a trip to San Francisco without visiting the iconic Alcatraz Island!!! Once home to some of America’s most notorious criminals including the famous Al Capone (Scarface) and “Birdman”, Robert Stroud, the federal penitentiary operated here from 1934 to 1963. Many people are unaware of the historical significance before and after it was one of the world’s most legendary prisons.

Explore the Wine Country: Napa Valley: Day Trip to Domaine Carneros

Domaine Carneros is one of our favorite wineries when taking a quick day trip up from the city to explore the beautiful Napa Valley! They specialize in still and sparkling wines, with a French-inspired chateau and formal garden. Drink in spectacular lake and vineyard views from your private table on the terrace and savor local artisanal cheeses and other indulgences paired to your wines.

They offer tours daily for a behind-the-scenes look at the magic of methode traditionnelle sparkling winemaking. It is truly our favorite place to pop some bubbles!

6. Culinary Cuisine:

Restaurant Jeanne D’Arc:

Jeanne D’Arc was one of our favorite elegant French inspired restaurants we have had the opportunity to visit. This hidden gem is located on the lower floor of the Cornell Hotel de France near Nob Hill and Union Square. Replete with tapestries, artifacts, stained glass, and unique decor that celebrates the life and deeds of France’s legendary heroine, Joan of Arc. We found the restaurant to be unique and love the fact that their menu changes daily. The food was exceptional, the hospitality was excellent, and the restaurants decor created the most romantic atmosphere.

Founded by the Lambert Family in 1972, the restaurant is a favorite of locals and visitors. Jeanne D’ Arc offers a prix fixe menu (four courses at $56/person) of authentic French cuisine and a selection of well chosen French and California wines.

Our favorite and top recommendation on the dessert menu was their famous Grand Mariner Souffle!!

The Cheese School of San Francisco:

As we were exploring the famous Ghirardelli Square, we stumbled across the new Cheese School! As those of you who follow us and know we are huge wine and cheese connoisseurs, we had to stop in! The Cheese School of San Francisco is the only independent institution of its kind in the nation! They offer an amazing cafe with the most delicious eats, a cheese shop, tasting events, and what we found most interesting cheese centric classes!

They also host private classes to learn about cheese and other foods. We really enjoyed our time at The Cheese School and look forward to experiencing one of their classes in the future. We also highly recommend stopping in for a delicious lunch and ordering the Tomato Soup!!

Overall we had an amazing time in San Francisco and feel it is one of the most romantic places for a couple to spend time together.
