Viva Las Vegas:
The Ultimate Guide for the “Adventure” Couple

Las Vegas, NV simply known as “Vegas” is an internationally renowned major resort city that is primarily known for its glitzy gambling, luxury dining experiences, extravagant entertainment, abundant shopping, and elaborate nightlight. Among all the activities one can find during their visit, we have managed to narrow them down to our favorite. In this article we’ll highlight our top choices regarding restaurants, hotels and activities for the “Adventure” couples out there. Let’s get started!

Where to stay:

The Palazzo
“Lap of Luxury Accommodations”
Looking for a 5 star hotel located right in the middle of the Las Vegas strip where all the action takes place? The Palazzo is an all-suite hotel which is associated with the Venetian complex. Plush accommodations feature Italian inspired decor with a range of contemporary rooms to multi bedroom suites. A reasonable resort fee covers the cost for WI-FI and access to a fitness center. In addition, there is a connected casino to the Venetian, a lavish spa with an outdoor pool, several chic restaurants, lounges and nightclubs. In our experience, we stayed in the Lago media suite complete with a theater room, living room, master bedroom with a designated fitness area, and the iconic pool table. Our suite was located on the 50th floor with a view facing the strip. In actuality this particular room could have easily slept 8 people comfortably, however, we enjoyed the extra space. If you are looking for a true Las Vegas experience like one from the movie, “The Hangover,” then this would be it!

Exquisite Dining:

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse:
(Located in Harrahs)

Steak, by standard definition, is a high-quality beef typically cut into thick slices that are cooked by broiling or frying. At Ruth’s Chris Las Vegas the bar is raised to perfection and the customer service is first class. Although the menu boasts mouth-watering appetizers and entrees, we selected a few of our favorite items to add when ordering your dinner here.

We started off the evening with a toast, Ashley opted for the Blueberry Mojito while I chose the Honey Old Fashioned.

Both of these beverages were quite refreshing from the Las Vegas heat yet equally flavorful. Our first course began with a half order of the chilled seafood tower. This flawless display of shell-fish included main lobster, king crab legs and knuckles, colossal lump crab meat and jumbo cocktail shrimp served with both Sriracha-lime seafood sauce and cocktail sauce.

Personally, we have always preferred our shell-fish cooked or steamed, however, Ruth’s Chris has changed our minds forever. The shells have been pre-cracked for ease and the quality is second to none. Once our drinks and appetizer had been finished, it was time for the main course.

The wonderful waitress recommended the Tomahawk Ribeye accompanied by two glasses of sophisticated red wine to bring out the flavors. The Tomahawk is 40 ounces of USDA Prime bone-in Ribeye broiled to perfection and hand-cut table side. This incredible steak portion arrived to us on a hot dish sizzling at 500 degrees Fahrenheit and completely changed our perspective on the fine dining experience.  Each bite was extremely tender as it was terrific! Although we were unable to finish almost half the portion, we would recommend this dinner item which can easily be split between 3-4 people. In addition, we had ordered an a la cart side of grilled asparagus, au gratin potatoes and a 9 oz steamed lobster tail complete with lemon and melted butter.

To finish the evening we placed a final order for two vanilla bean creme brûlées that literally melted in your mouth.

Overall our dining experience was incredible, and we highly recommend stopping by this Ruth’s Chris Las Vegas on your next visit!

Triple George Grill
(Located on Fremont Street)

Looking for a romantic dinner in a private booth setting? Elegance is located 10 minutes off the Las Vegas strip at the Triple George Grill. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly host which seated us promptly.

Our beverages of choice were the classic mojito and whiskey honey old-fashioned. After a quick cheers we proceeded to our first course appetizer. Ashley ordered a jumbo shrimp cocktail while I elected to try the Caesar salad.

Both were simply delicious. Next up was the main course, a 6 oz filet mignon accompanied by a 6 oz broiled lobster tail for Ashley and a 6 oz filet mignon accompanied by 1 1/2 lb of King Crab Legs, steamed broccoli and carrots.

The food was prepared to perfection, and we concluded are meal with a marble tiramisu and vanilla bean creme brûlée.

In our experience, this establishment offers wonderful customer service with great food, and we recommend for all ages.

Top Attractions for The “Adventure” Couple:

Speed Vegas:

“Our Hearts are Racing”

Ever dreamed of racing exotic cars like a Ferrari or Lamborghini at high speeds on a track with your significant other? Speed Vegas is located 15 minutes south of the Las Vegas strip and the perfect activity to get your heart pumping! Our race time was scheduled at noon, and we arrived exactly 30 minutes prior to fill out any necessary paperwork.

Additionally there is a safety video with an instructor who literally takes you for a couple premature laps around the track to make you comfortable with the curvy design and speed zones.

Finally, it’s time to choose your car!

Both of us chose a red and yellow Lamborghini Huracan which can reach top speeds of 201 mph! The moment we drove onto the track it was a heart pounding experience! Our favorite speed zone was the straight away which Ashley reached a top speed of 142 mph and I reached 136 mph.

In addition they provide photography and video at an additional cost to relive the adventure any time you want! We definitely recommend this exciting activity for the adventurer at heart.

“Helicopter Heights and Sweetheart Nights”

Sundance Helicopters:

Let your dreams take flight with the number one helicopter tour over the Las Vegas strip! Vegas is one of the most well-known cities in the USA with views of the city lights at night that are second to none Thanks to Sundance Helicopter we were able to experience one of the most romantic evenings on their “City Lights Tour.” Sundance Helicopters started off the night with a personal pick up in a stretch limousine from our hotel.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a champagne toast welcome. Check-in was quick and easy, and our pilot introduced himself before our flight.

The helicopter ride was spectacular, the staff was incredible and the city lights were dazzling!

We highly recommend this tour for people of all ages on your next trip to Las Vegas!

“Zoom, Zoom, Zip!”

Slotzilla Zip Line:

Zip, zoom, and fly above Freemont Street like superman at forty miles per hour over downtown Las Vegas! Depending on your desire for thrills, there are two options when visiting Slotzilla, the Zipline and the ZoomLine. We highly recommend flying “super-hero” style on the ZoomLine in comparison to flying in a seated position on the Zipline.

The ZoomLine starts at over ten stories high and runs the entire length of the Fremont Street Experience which is about 1,750 feet! Zipping down the ZoomLine at night is truly a remarkable experience as the Fremont Street Viva Vision light show is going which gives you an even more spectacular view of Downtown Las Vegas. The ZoomLine was a definite thrill and we highly recommend this tour for all the adventurers out there!
