We couldn’t believe our luck when we got the chance to visit Las Vegas, the city of lights, excitement, and endless possibilities. As adventurous travel enthusiasts, we were beyond thrilled to explore this iconic destination, but we were determined to uncover a side of Vegas that most tourists might miss. Our journey through the city would lead us to adventure around the world through the skies, deep into the world of organized crime, and through a neon-lit wonderland.

Our first adventure in Las Vegas was something truly unique โ€“ a flyover experience that promised to show us the city from an entirely different perspective. Located right on The Strip, “Fly Over – Las Vegas” was an immersive attraction that used state-of-the-art technology to simulate thrilling flights over some of the best destinations around the world! As we strapped into our seats, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation!

Our first Fly Over experience was ICELAND, their flagship simulation. This attraction is engineered with flight motion seats which are suspended, and a 52.5 ft wrap around screen.

A notable mention is guests feel wind and mist upon their faces while experiencing the scents of nature. The immersive visuals were breathtaking, and with every dip and dive, we felt the adrenaline rush through us. We glided over iconic landmarks and legendary locations while exploring volcanoes and glaciers soaring across Iceland. It was a mesmerizing journey that allowed us to appreciate the countries grandeur from a whole new angle, all without leaving the heart of The Strip. Our second flight was titled, WINDBORNE: CALL OF THE CANADIAN ROCKIES. This is FlyOverโ€™s latest flight ride which transports you over iconic mountain scenery, from the legendary waters of Maligne Lake to the snowy heights of Mount Somervell. We connected with the sights, sounds and spirit of the Canadian Rockies! Another notable mention are the pre shows just before your flight experiences. Guests are gathered into a room with a 365 degree view and a double sided center video with stunning videos and captivating music that tells the emotional stories of these natives.

Flyover Vegas also offers a unique and thrilling American West experience that takes visitors on a virtual journey through some of the most iconic landscapes and landmarks of the American Southwest! Take flight from the Grand Canyon to the vibrant lights of Las Vegas, you’ll witness the stunning beauty and diverse landscapes of the region!

After your exhilarating flight ride, it’s time to relax and unwind at The Lost Cactus bar and lounge! The Lost Cactus offers a delightful setting  designed to be a welcoming oasis where you can kick back, chat with friends, or simply reflect on your incredible Flyover Vegas adventure. Sip on delicious crafted cocktails such as the Desert Sunset, Prickly Pear Margarita, Icelandโ€™s Fire and Ice, Canadian Sky, or Sin City, and savor the essence of each region! The Lost Cactus is the perfect way to wind down and reflect on the beauty and wonder of the region you’ve just explored.

Next on our agenda was a visit to The Mob Museum, an attraction that would plunge us into the gritty, fascinating world of organized crime in America. As we entered the museum, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of intrigue. The exhibits chronicled the rise and fall of the Mafia in the United States, from the Prohibition era to modern times.

Walking through the museum, we discovered the stories of infamous mobsters like Al Capone and Bugsy Siegel. We marveled at the actual courtroom where the Kefauver Hearings took place, a pivotal moment in mob history. The Mob Museum was a riveting experience that combined history, crime, and a touch of nostalgia, and it was a side of Las Vegas we hadn’t expected to encounter.

Our exploration of Las Vegas continued with a visit to the Neon Museum, a place where the city’s iconic neon signs go to retire. The Neon Boneyard was a mesmerizing collection of vintage signs that once lit up the city’s streets. Strolling through this luminous graveyard, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia for a time weโ€™d never known.

The Neon Museum offered a glimpse into the vibrant history of Las Vegas. Each sign told a story of a bygone era, and our guide regaled us with tales of the Rat Pack, Elvis, and the city’s transformation over the years. It was a captivating journey through the visual history of Las Vegas, and it left us with a newfound appreciation for the artistry behind these illuminated works of art.

Of course, our adventure in Las Vegas wouldn’t have been complete without indulging in its culinary delights. Our dining experiences in the city were nothing short of exceptional, starting with our visit to 8 East at Circa, located in downtown Fremont Street. This Asian-inspired restaurant served up a tantalizing fusion of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with delight.

As we dined on dishes like the Lobster fried short rib dumplings, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the creativity and craftsmanship of the culinary team. One evening, we found ourselves at the famed French restaurant, Mon Ami Gabi, located in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. Dining on their covered patio with a view of the Bellagio fountains was an experience straight out of a romantic movie. The ambiance was enchanting, and the food, from the classic French Onion Soup to the Steak Frites & Filet Mignon, was simply divine. It was a dining experience that transported us to the streets of Paris, right in the heart of Las Vegas.

For a more casual, yet equally delectable meal, we stopped by Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood. The menu was a burger lover’s paradise, featuring an array of gourmet creations. We opted for the Stout Burger with Truffle fries. The flavors were bold, the ingredients were top-notch, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best burgers weโ€™ve ever tasted.

Our culinary adventure came to a satisfying close at the underground speakeasy within The Mob Museum. It was here that we toasted to our Las Vegas journey with expertly crafted cocktails, including a classic Old Fashioned. The dimly lit, prohibition-era atmosphere lent an air of authenticity to our experience, and we felt as though we’d stepped back in time to an era of secrecy and indulgence.

As our time in Las Vegas drew to a close, we couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible experiences we’d shared. From flying over the city’s glittering lights to delving into its complex history, from savoring gourmet meals to toasting to our adventures in a hidden speakeasy, our trip had been nothing short of extraordinary.

Las Vegas had surprised us in the best possible ways, revealing a city that was not only about glitz and glamour but also rich in history, culture, and culinary treasures. It was a destination that had exceeded our expectations and left us with memories to cherish. Our adventure in Las Vegas was a reminder that there’s always more to discover, even in the most iconic of places.
